Super Plain Detonator, for use with Safety Fuse, contains a base charge of PETN with a priming charge of ASA composition in an aluminium tube. These detonators are of No. 8 strength.
Super Plain Detonators are non-electric in nature. These are initiated by a strand of safety fuse that is inserted into the cap and crimped with a crimping tool to prevent the fuse from slipping out of the cap and to prevent water or other foreign material entering the cap.
The safety fuse should be cut squarely so that it comes well into the contact with the igniting charge of the cap.
For use with Safety Fuse for blasting in quarries, opencast mines, surface excavations, well sinking, road construction, civil works etc.
